Why Teach At Sxoxomic Community School?

Weyk-t (Wait-k – Hello)! At Sxoxomic Community School, student-centered education is the root of learning. We pride ourselves on creating a unique, learning environment that embraces Secwepemc values as the foundation for students from kindergarten through Grade 9. We promote holistic development that nurtures growth – academically, spiritually, emotionally and physically. Students and families are also welcomed into a dynamic and supportive learning community that extends outside of the classroom walls.

School community

The academic program at Sxoxomic Community School places an emphasis on every aspect of student growth and development while meeting requirements of the BC Ministry of Education, the First Nations Education Steering Committee (FNESC) and the First Nations Schools Association of BC (FNSA).
