Personalised, High-Quality Teaching and Learning

There is no doubt that it is the quality of teaching and learning that underpins students’ success at school. At Mulgrave, we ensure that teachers address each student’s unique learning needs and that they personalise learning in all subjects to ensure students realize their potential. We invest heavily in our teachers’ skills and development so that they can learn from each other and from the best of practice worldwide.

“In our experience, the best professional development is ongoing, experiential and collaborative. It must be derived from a desire to learn about how different children learn and how to best inspire them.” John Wray, Mulgrave’s Head of School

Community & School Culture

School Community

We know that students need good relationships with their teachers and the right kind of support at every stage in their education. We invested heavily in associate teachers to support younger students, in specialist support staff to support students to reach a high level in individual subjects, and in university specialists to help with higher education choices and applications. A key strategy to ensure excellence in teaching comes from prioritising collaborative planning. By giving teachers time to plan together and share teaching strategies, we support our faculty’s professional growth and enhance student learning.

We have created a learning environment that not only looks and feels good, but also actively supports students to achieve their best. From our stimulating, well-appointed and decorated classrooms to our extensive specialist facilities, every space is carefully designed to support and motivate teaching and learning.
