Make a Future will be accompanying 10 British Columbia School Districts at the University of Alberta's Education Career Fair and Campus Saint Jean's Foire d'emploi en Education. The BC contingent will be on campus on Monday, January 29th, 2018 from 10 am to 3 pm in the Butterdome to recruit new teachers and hire Education graduates. BC school districts from the Metro Vancouver, Fraser Valley, Okanagan, Vancouver Island/Sunshine Coast, Northern regions will be represented at the event. Among the participating the school districts, there are 122 job postings advertised on Makeafuture.ca. Postings are in the primary and secondary grades in Learning Support/Resource, French Immersion, PE, Art, Band, Counselling, Math, Special Education, Mandarin Immersion, Technology Education, Aboriginal Education, and Science assignments in full-time, part-time and on-call roles.

Prospective candidates from the University of Alberta's Teacher Education Program will have the opportunity to learn more about living in British Columbia, incentives available to out-of-province teachers, and the opportunities available now and in the Spring.

In addition to BC's public school districts, Maple Leaf Education Systems, a BC-certified offshore school operator, will also be at the event recruiting teachers to their BC programs in China.
