Now is The Best Time To Find a Principalship Job

E-News for Educational Leaders Banner

British Columbia school districts are hiring principals and vice principals in June.  As the end of the school year nears, school districts are preparing for the next by recruiting educational leaders.

In addition to a master's degree, curriculum knowledge, teaching and leadership experience, school districts are looking for educational leaders with specific skill-sets.

School districts in Gold Trail, Nicola-Similkameen, Okanagan Skaha, Vancouver Island North and Langley are looking for principals and vice principals with experience in working with indigenous students.

Some of these districts serve large communities of Aboriginal students, so knowledge of indigenous cultures, and experience working with Aboriginal communities are important qualifications.

Elsewhere on Vancouver Island, Qualicum School District is looking for an educational leader with French fluency to lead a dual-track French Immersion school.

Up north in Dawson Creek, Peace River South School District is looking for an educational leader to fill a leadership role in a Hutterian Brethren Colony.  Because the role is in a Hutterite community, the school district is looking for an individual with knowledge of the guidelines and principles of that community.

With so many opportunities currently available, now is the best time to explore opportunities, and find a job as a school administrator.
