It is a well-known fact that British Columbia's schools are on a hiring spree. School districts spread out across BC are hiring to fill full-time, part-time, and on-call teaching assignments. Teachers are needed in all subject areas and grade levels. In particular, teachers with training or experience teaching French immersion, special education, technology education, science, math, and music are needed most in the province. Furthermore, primary and elementary teachers are required as well. There are full-time positions in metro and rural BC communities.

On Friday, October 26th, Ontario-certified teachers will have the opportunity to explore these career possibilities in Toronto at the Ed Talent Job Fair taking place at the Westin Harbour Castle Convention Centre, from 10 am to 3 pm. At the event, representatives from 13 BC school districts will be available to meet with prospective teachers to discuss job openings, and in some cases, conduct interviews.

British Columbia has always been a popular destination for Ontario teachers. At the event, potential candidates will be able to learn more about teaching in British Columbia, living in our diverse province, and why so many Ontarians move to our province. Currently, there are over 400 teaching opportunities available.
