School Overview
Unisus School offers a fully accredited IB International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Diploma Programme (DP). We are the only IB Pre-K to Grade 12 boarding school in Western Canada.

The Community
Summerland has traditionally been a retirement community; however, recently, it has attracted many more younger families looking for a higher quality of living in the Okanagan.
The town of Summerland is a close-knit community that attracts professionals from all around the world because of its lower cost-of-living, scenic environment, and proximity to urban centres. From Summerland, you can travel to Penticton in 20 minutes, Kelowna in 45 minutes and Vancouver in four hours. There are also two airports nearby.

Like all Okanagan communities, you can enjoy an array of outdoor activities living in Summerland. You can hike, bike, ski, golf, and visit the many beautiful wineries, orchards and lakes that set the backdrop for this region.
School Community
Unisus School embraces an inquiry-based framework, which helps to empower a love of learning. Our approach focuses on assisting students in developing design-thinking, entrepreneurial and problem-solving skills.
Our boarding school is located in the beautiful Okanagan region on an expansive gated campus. Our school is attended by international students as well as local off-campus students.

Our teacher salaries are based on the qualifications of the candidate and the advertised. Additionally, our staff receive comprehensive health and RRSP matching benefits from the school.
In addition to teaching at the school, there are other opportunities to earn extra income by working in our camps and academies.
Application Requirements
We are looking for active, motivated, collaborative educators who are passionate about integrating meaningful, age-appropriate technology into their classrooms. We seek out teachers who can communicate and collaborate well with parents, students and administration to support student learning.
