Welcome to Selkirk Montessori

Selkirk Montessori is one of the few Montessori schools in the province providing Montessori programs for students from age three to 14, encompassing early primary, lower elementary, upper elementary and middle school. We offer a collaborative and collegial school team and a supportive and engaged school community.

Why You’ll Love It Here

Founded by parents in 1980, Selkirk Montessori School has grown from a single-grade program to a purpose-built facility offering education from preschool to Grade 8. With a team-teaching model, educators share responsibilities, reduce daily stress and have more time to plan and support students.

Our school offers strong staff-to-student ratios, dedicated specialists in French, music, PE and technology, and a collaborative culture where staff support one another personally and professionally.

With Montessori-trained staff, low student-teacher ratios and specialist programs in music, French and technology, students benefit from a rich, supportive learning environment.
