Revelstoke is a “can do” community. Our Board of Education provides a comprehensive early identification and intervention program that supports the success of all learners. Smaller class sizes and extensive student support services all contribute to an extremely effective school district.

Community Culture

Revelstoke is a hive for artistic, cultural and outdoor pursuits. In Revelstoke, you’ll enjoy year-round recreation with two national parks as well as numerous lakes and rivers right in your backyard–not to mention some of the best downhill skiing in North America as well as first-rate hiking, cross-country and backcountry skiing and snowmobiling. Salary and Benefits

Teachers typically receive a comprehensive benefits package including:

  • medical, dental, and extended health plans;

  • supplemental employment benefits on maternity leave;

ALLOWANCES

Teachers in positions with special responsibilities, e.g. department heads, teacher consultants, teacher coordinators, counsellors, psychologists, alternate school teachers, speech pathologists, may receive a financial allowance of $2,000-$4,000 annually.
