Welcome to Mulgrave School

Mulgrave School is a co-educational, independent and secular IB World School situated at the base of the stunning North Shore mountains. The school equips lifelong learners to thrive in a culturally diverse, interconnected world, instilling passion, confidence and a commitment making a meaningful difference locally and globally.

Why You’ll Love It Here

Mulgrave students are capable, motivated, and supported by their families in their learning. Our faculty work together to support and encourage one another to achieve their best.

In our Pre-K to Grade 3 programs, teachers are paired with an Associate Teacher. In Grade 4, each grade has one Associate Teacher. These colleagues provide classroom support and are eager learners themselves, giving experienced teachers meaningful mentoring opportunities.

What We Value

At Mulgrave, teachers enjoy access to abundant resources, modern facilities and innovative technology. Our staff are passionate about education and thrive in an environment energized by curious, motivated students.

Faculty also contribute to schoolwide initiatives, including committees focused on sustainability, student wellbeing, diversity, equity, inclusion, justice (DEIJ) and Indigenous teaching and learning.

What Makes Us Unique

Mulgrave invests over $250,000 annually in professional development, enabling faculty to attend local and international workshops and conferences that support their career growth and teaching practice. Faculty also enjoy a competitive salary grid above local public schools.

Teachers can also apply for financial support toward a master’s in education or the Tony Allard Bursary, which funds an international summer learning experience.

Our School Community

At Mulgrave, strong relationships and tailored support are key to student success. We provide Associate Teachers for younger learners, specialist staff for academic excellence, and university advisors to guide higher education pathways.

Collaborative planning fosters professional growth and enhances student outcomes.
Our inspiring learning environment, from thoughtfully designed classrooms to specialized facilities, supports teaching and learning.

West Vancouver Living

Mulgrave is nestled in stunning West Vancouver, just minutes from both the beach and nearby ski mountains. From ocean to forest, the West Coast offers endless outdoor adventures, including hiking, biking, skiing and water sports.

Our vibrant North Shore community is only 15 minutes from downtown Vancouver and close to recreation centres, Lions Gate Hospital, the Kay Meek Arts Centre, Ambleside Beach and exceptional local amenities, making it an ideal place to live, work and explore.

Equity, Justice & Belonging

Mulgrave is evolving from a Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Justice (DEIJ) framework to an Equity, Justice & Belonging (EJB) approach. This shift emphasizes equity and justice as foundational commitments, with belonging as the lived outcome for all members of our community.

  • Equity First: Removing systemic barriers and redistributing resources to ensure fairness and opportunity.
  • Justice as Anchor: Tackling root causes of inequity, embedding reconciliation, anti-racism, and systemic transformation.
  • Belonging as Outcome: Creating a culture where every learner, staff member, and family feels recognized, valued and empowered.

This evolution reframes our work: from separate DEIJ programming to culture-shaping practices that prepare students with learner confidence, global leadership and a deep sense of responsibility for the greater good.
