Welcome to Maple Hill School

Maple Hill School prepares students for success in post‑secondary education and beyond by fostering independent learning, academic excellence and personal growth. With dedicated teachers and a supportive community, students are empowered to reach their full potential through individualized learning, leadership opportunities and a holistic approach to social, emotional and intellectual development.

Why You’ll Love It Here

Maple Hill School is an independent secondary school located in the heart of Richmond, B.C., adjacent to the Brighouse Canada Line station.

Since 2017, the school has fostered a supportive learning environment focused on helping students become the best versions of themselves.

As an educator at Maple Hill, you play an important role in shaping the lives of students, guiding them to think critically, act with discipline and integrity and reach their full potential. You will join a professional team where teachers are valued, respected and supported in their work.

What We Value

Maple Hill values a strong commitment to growth — both as the foundation of an effective school and as a defining quality of our professional community.

Staff are expected to model the values we seek to instill in students, and we strive for an environment in which everyone continues to learn, develop and leave stronger than when they arrived.

As a semester‑based school, the pace is dynamic and engaging. This structure requires educators who are strong relationship builders, as they work closely with the same students each day. Effective planning, organization and consistency are essential to supporting student success in this setting.

What Makes Us Unique

We maintain high academic standards and offer a range of Advanced Placement courses, IELTS preparation, and after‑school academic support. These opportunities enable students to excel while also allowing staff to share their expertise in ways that may not be available in other school settings.

Our commitment extends beyond classroom achievement. We aim to graduate students who are thoughtful individuals and responsible citizens. To support this, we encourage both students and staff to engage in clubs, interests and community activities within the amenity‑rich city of Richmond.

Our School Community

Our school motto, “Summiting Together,” reflects our commitment to growth through community. We work to ensure students graduate as confident, capable individuals grounded in curiosity, creativity, and strong communication.

We are equally committed to the growth of our staff. Through collaboration, professional development, and mutual respect, we support educators as they continue to learn and grow alongside us.

Maple Hill is a place of stability and long‑term development. We measure success not only by post‑secondary outcomes, but by sustained growth and lasting relationships. Many graduates return to stay connected or pursue roles at the school, reflecting the enduring community we have built since our founding in 2017.

Living in Richmond
