What Makes Us Unique
At Kaisei Canadian Double Diploma School (KCDDS), we offer a dual diploma program for Grades 10 to 12.
Students follow the world-class British Columbia curriculum, with 60% of instruction in English and 40% in core Japanese courses. Graduates earn both the B.C. Dogwood Diploma and the Japanese High School Certificate diploma.
We promote innovative, project-based learning that builds critical thinking, analytical skills, and personal growth. At KCDDS, professional development is key—our “teacher as learner” philosophy reflects a strong commitment to continuous improvement.
Our School Community
KCDDS is a small offshore school located within Escolapios Kaisei Catholic Junior and Senior High School. As of Aug. 1, 2025, it enrolls six Grade 10 and seven Grade 11 students.
It is the only international high school in the region, and the host school fully supports its “school within a school” philosophy.
Living in Yokkaichi
Located in north-central Mie Prefecture, Yokkaichi is a suburban city of 310,000 residents.
The area has plenty of residential areas and lower density buildings, featuring larger family homes with yards. It’s also close to the major city of Nagoya, just 33 minutes by train. The humid subtropical climate ranges from 26.8°C in August to 4.3°C in January.
