The Central Coast School District #49 serves students across the communities of Bella Coola, Hagensborg, Denny Island and on the traditional territories of the Nuxalk, Heiltsuk and Wuikinuxv Peoples. The Bella Coola Valley has a population of approximately 2,163. Teachers typically receive a comprehensive benefits package including:

ALLOWANCES

Teachers in positions with special responsibilities, e.g. department heads, teacher consultants, teacher coordinators, counsellors, psychologists, alternate school teachers, speech pathologists, may receive a financial allowance of $2,000-$4,000 annually. In some cases, moving and retention allowances may also be provided.
