About
Our goal is to maximize the life opportunities for every student. As a community of learners, we promote active partnerships throughout our community to enhance and improve student achievement.
Regional Diversity
Our district is located on traditional Ts’msyen territory on the northern coastline of the most beautiful rainforest in British Columbia. We are the new gateway for cruise ships to the northwest and we are excited about the economic opportunities our new world-class container port facility will bring to our community.
Specialty Programs
We are proud of our Sm’algyax Language program, all-day Kindergarten project, alternate education program, French immersion, instrumental band and the many community partnerships designed to meet the needs of our students.
Community Culture
Our diverse and active community offers mild coastal temperatures, access to a variety of leisure activities (including sea kayaking, sport fishing, mountain climbing, hiking, golfing, and Nordic and alpine skiing) and the opportunity to discover a rich history in Aboriginal cultures.
Draw for Employees
Our blend of urban amenities with year-round outdoor leisure opportunities provides the best of both worlds. Our district is recognized for its innovative initiatives and progressive curricular programming, and for our encouragement and support of the professional growth of our staff.
