Regional Diversity

Our school district is small, exclusively residential and affluent. Great teaching and a supportive parent community has made us the top-performing district in BC with a 2007 graduation rate of 98.5%.

Specialty Programs

SD West Vancouver has been characterized by a gradual growth in student enrollment, providing a standard of certainty for our staff and our community. This is due to the district’s strong reputation and enhanced by the provision of a wide variety of programs of choice for our students unique to our district: AP, IB, KPlus, sports academies, international students, Super Achievers and West Vancouver Online.

Community Culture

Small by Metro Vancouver standards, we are a district where relationships are prized and a feeling of “family” is cultivated. This was highlighted in the most recent external District Review, which cites West Vancouver’s “culture of professionalism, collaboration, positive working relationships, and high expectations” as one of the indicators of our success.
