About
The Boundary school district provides opportunities for students to develop their individual and unique potential in harmony with home, school and community, thus enabling them to become mature and responsible citizens with inquiring minds and a desire for lifelong learning.
Regional Diversity
Our region offers its residents a variety of lifestyle choices – from miner to entrepreneur to professional. You can live in an urban subdivision or on a ranch, hobby farm or lake front. Our four distinct seasons provide great temperatures and weather conditions for a wide range of seasonal outdoor activities.
Specialty Programs
We offer Russian and French language instruction from grades 2 to 12. Boundary Secondary offers Fire Academy 12 and Fire Suppression 12. We have made a deep commitment to the SmartReading Process and are beginning a three-year agreement with Trevor Caulkin and Power of 10. All elementary teachers are currently issued a laptop for their use as teachers.
Community Culture
This is a picturesque rural region of BC. Residents enjoy activities that include mountain biking, skiing, snowmobiling, golf, cultural activities and two fall fairs – all with a measured lifestyle pace for easy living.
Draw for Employees
A four day per week school calendar provides staff and students with unique opportunities without impacting school and work. Our residents enjoy great weather, unlimited outdoor activities, affordable housing, strong community spirit and proximity to nearby communities such as Kelowna, Penticton, Nelson and Spokane in Washington State.
